Solution to the 13th Crosswords and diagram

Hi everyone here you are the solutions for the 13th activity

CHALLENGE #1

The Crosswords:

DOWN

1.- Humble and weak little soldier: PAWN

2.- The battle field: CHESSBOARD

4.- Take care of him or everything ends: KING

7.- It rides a crazy, jumping horse: KNIGHT

ACROSS

3.- She is the lady, but she is powerful: QUEEN

5.- A big elephant turned into a priest: BISHOP

6.- A heavy and powerful castle: ROOK

I saw some mistakes with the KNIGHT (Caballero in Spanish, and the piece: CABALLO)

Remember HORSE is not valid for the Chess piece.

And the other common mistake was the Chessboard (altogether and with double S)

CHALLENGE #2
Here you are the solutions:

The black King is hidden behind his pawn on h-5 and the Queen close to him

But the White Queen can attack him safely supported by her pawn on h-4

Qg-5++ (the black King cannot capture the Queen cause the white pawn protects her)

Unfortunately the coronavirus wiped away your participation and I'd rather prefer not to show it, I know too many homework from school, we are too tired to make more exercises I see but anyway thanks to those brave participants.
