Hi there, 
Here you are the solutions although most of the times are not necessary cause you did a great job.

Challenge 1-1: All the line #2 is covered by the Rook on c-2

so we can add another Rook on g-1 or f-1, that's not correct on g-1 can be captured by the black king.

So the solution is: R f-1++

Challenge 1-2: the white Rook covers b-1 and a-2
The white King is very far to defend the piece and que black king is not in Check.

So we need our added Rook to attack the black King on its possition and at the same time defended by a piece so the solutions are (cause there are 2 of them):
R b-1++
R a-2 ++

Challenge 2 Solution: White’s Rooks are the better positioned because they are on files without any pawns on them.

Black’s Rooks are both trapped behind their own pawns as you can see in the diagram.

They have to make extra moves to attack, Remember they can not jump over any piece.
